Season: May – November
Route: Karakol – Jeti-Ögüz Gorge – Karakol (65 km)
Duration: 1 day
In the morning you will depart from Karakol and head towards one of the most famous and scenic gorges
in Kyrgyzstan called Jeti-Ögüz, which translates as “Seven Bulls.”
The first stop is at the iconic red sandstone cliffs, the Seven Bulls and the Broken Heart, shrouded in the
legends of love, betrayal, and courage. Your guide will share their ancient stories, and you’ll have the
chance to take stunning photos of the dramatic red rocks contrasting against the lush green hillsides.
The journey continues deeper into the gorge, passing through coniferous forests and mountain rivers,
toward the Kok-Jaiyk Valley with wide blooming meadows surrounded by spruce trees and towering
peaks. In spring and summer, the area is especially beautiful with vibrant flowers, fresh air, and peaceful
sounds of nature.
Next, you’ll visit the “Maiden Braids” waterfall, gracefully cascading down like the flowing hair of a young
woman. It is a magical and photogenic spot that adds a fairytale touch to the tour.
Throughout the trip your guide will share fascinating insights about the region’s nature, culture, and
history.
After a relaxing walk and a break, you’ll return to Karakol in the evening.
